SUPERHERO SCIENCE 6/8-6/12

Superhero Science Week invites young innovators to suit up and dive into hands-on experiments where curiosity becomes their superpower. Campers will explore how magnets can help a superhero fly, discover what causes a volcano to erupt, and investigate big ideas like inertia through exciting challenges. Using everyday materials, children will design and build their own robots, harness the surprising power of static electricity, and test their problem-solving skills by creating force fields to protect delicate bubbles. This action-packed week blends science, engineering, and imaginative play, encouraging children to ask questions, make predictions, and experiment like real scientists while having an absolute blast.

IT'S A JUNGLE 6/15-6/19

Jungle Adventure Week invites campers to journey deep into one of the most vibrant ecosystems on Earth. Young explorers will set out on jungle safaris to discover the many creatures that call the jungle home, from animals in the treetops to those on the forest floor. Campers will investigate towering jungle trees, winding vines, and the different layers of the rainforest, while learning why rain is essential to keeping the jungle alive and thriving. Through hands-on exploration, sensory experiences, and imaginative play, children will listen to the sounds of the wild, explore exotic plants, and uncover the wonders of nature found throughout the jungle.

STORYBOOK STEAM 6/22-6/26

Storybook STEAM Week is where imagination takes the lead and stories come to life through hands-on discovery. Campers will explore beloved children’s books each day and transform the stories into creative adventures in science, technology, engineering, art, and math. After each story, children will dive into experiments and design challenges such as creating musical instruments from classroom materials, observing chemical changes with eggs and oobleck, and testing simple machines to see what makes a car go fast. Campers will also explore buoyancy by seeing how many pennies their boat can hold, engineer houses designed to withstand the wind, and discover fascinating science concepts like how fish breathe. This week blends literacy, creativity, and exploration into an engaging experience that inspires curiosity and problem-solving.

BACKYARD ADVENTURES 7/13-7/17

Backyard Adventures Week invites campers to explore the wonders of nature and the excitement of camping right in our own backyard. Throughout the week, children will enjoy hands-on outdoor experiences such as building tents, creating nature-inspired crafts, and working together to complete fun team challenges. Campers will discover plants and animals they might encounter on a camping adventure, explore how a compass works and what it can be used for, and investigate how we are able to see at night while camping. They will also look up at the sky to learn about constellations, explore why campfires are important, and experiment with ways to capture the sun’s rays. This week encourages curiosity, teamwork, and a love for the outdoors through playful exploration and discovery.

TINY TRAVELERS 7/20-7/24

Tiny Travelers Week invites campers to pack their imagination and journey across the globe without ever leaving camp. Each day highlights a different region of the world as children explore cultures, traditions, and artistic expressions from various countries. Campers will discover what they might see when traveling to places like Japan, learn where origami comes from, and explore unique items found around the world. They will experience the sounds and rhythms of African music, learn why Kente cloth is important in Ghana, and discover how people in Ethiopia use weavings in their daily lives. Through hands-on activities, art, and imaginative play, this week sparks curiosity and appreciation for cultures around the world.

SPLASH AND DASH 7/27/7/31

Splash and Dash Week invites campers to dive into a world of splashy exploration and discovery. Throughout the week, children will investigate how water moves, changes, and shapes the world around us through hands-on activities and playful challenges. Campers will experiment to see what sinks and floats, explore the colors of the rainbow, and design boats to travel across water. They will also discover the power of wind and water, testing which is stronger, and explore creative ways to make water move without touching it. With a mix of outdoor water play and exciting experiments, this week encourages curiosity, problem-solving, and joyful learning, with plenty of chances to get a little wet along the way.
